Internships, Co-ops, and Volunteerism Opportunities

People are in BOCES

Interns and Co-op students at The Arc Jefferson - St. Lawrence learn valuable skills that may be used in real-time by working directly with people. In these partnerships, the agency works with University personnel to meet specific course requirements. These relationships often result in employment opportunities upon graduation.

Volunteers are generally persons from the community at large, members of service organizations, or individuals seeking to satisfy requirements, such as students or persons assigned community service. Volunteers receive specialized training which is also helpful as a job reference. Additionally, volunteers have the opportunity to use their time and talents for a rewarding experience.

In compliance with N.Y. State regulations, all volunteers, interns, and co-op students must go through complete a criminal background check through the Justice Center.
