The Jefferson Rehabilitation Center has been awarded $15,000 in grants from the Trustee Management Board of NYSARC Trust Services to support their recreation programs.
Potsdam Elks Lodge #2074 donated $400 to St. Lawrence NYSARC’s Autism Awareness Walk. This year's Walk had over 450 participants in attendance and raised more than $20,000 to support local programs for people on the Autism Spectrum.

Jefferson Rehabilitation Center in Watertown has opened a new playground to accommodate children with special needs.
A ribbon cutting was held at the playground Wednesday. The project has been in the works for several years.
Donations for the handicap-accessible equipment totaled about $90,000 and with the help of volunteers, the playground was built and is now ready to be used.
