Vacation Details

They say a bad day fishing is better than your best day at work! So, come to Dodge Pond to take advantage of the excellent Northern Pike and Bass fishing. Prizes will be awarded to the person who catches the most fish and the person who catches the biggest fish. Worms will be provided by Dodge Pond. Vacationers are asked to bring their own fishing pole and tackle. Dinner will be served on Friday evening and there will be plenty of snacks and home-cooked meals through lunch on Sunday. This vacation is open to adults 22 and older.

Friday Arrival at 3:00 p.m. and Pickup on Sunday by 1:00 p.m.

Day Care

The Bright Beginnings Early Learning Center is licensed under the NYS Office of Children and Family Services to provide quality childcare for children between the ages of 18 months and 5 years of age. We offer full and half day care slots as well as 2, 3 & 5 day options. The Bright Beginnings program promotes social interaction, developmentally appropriate activities and practices and age appropriate self-help abilities. All of this is accomplished in a nurturing environment and in partnership with the child’s family.

UPDATE FROM CEO, HOWARD GANTER, ON PROGRAMS, SERVICES, AND SAFETY IN REGARDS TO COVID-19

In an effort to minimize the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus), The Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) has directed all providers to temporarily suspend operations of site-based day programs beginning March 17, at 5:00 p.m. At The Arc Jefferson – St. Lawrence, these closures include our Day Habilitation sites and Prevocational programs. Additionally, in Jefferson County we have closed our preschool program until April 20, 2020; when we will reevaluate and follow the guidance of the State Education Department.

THE ARC JEFFERSON – ST. LAWRENCE AWARDED GRANTS FROM NYSARC TRUST SERVICES

--To support guardianship and recreational opportunities for people with disabilities in Jefferson and St. Lawrence Counties. The Arc Jefferson-St. Lawrence, (www.thearcjslc.org), a not-for-profit organization supporting people with disabilities in Jefferson and St. Lawrence Counties, has been awarded $72, 500 in grants from the Trustee Management Board of NYSARC Trust Services to support The Arc Jefferson-St. Lawrence’s guardianship and recreation programs.
