THE ARC JEFFERSON – ST. LAWRENCE FOUNDATION HOLDS AUTISM ACCEPTANCE WALK

The Arc Jefferson - St. Lawrence Foundation (www.thearcjslc.org), invites the community to step forward in support of autism acceptance at the annual Autism Acceptance Walk, taking place Saturday, March 14th, at SUNY Canton’s Roos House (CARC Facility).

Centered around this year’s theme, “Flower Power - Kindness is Our Vibe,” the event celebrates inclusion while raising critical funds for programs that support individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities across the North Country.

THE ARC JEFFERSON – ST. LAWRENCE RECOGNIZES EMPLOYEES FOR CERTIFICATIONS WITH NATIONAL ALLIANCE FOR DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONALS

The Arc Jefferson - St. Lawrence (www.thearcjslc.org) recognized several employees for completing certifications with the National Alliance for Direct Support Professionals (NADSP) E-Badge Academy. Through the Academy, Direct Support Professionals (DSP) and Front Line Supervisors (FLS) get credit for competency by achieving stackable electronic badges, which can be used to attain nationally-recognized NADSP Certification. The E-Badge Academy provides practical and demonstrable recognition of the knowledge, skills, and practices of DSPs and FLSs.

THE ARC JEFFERSON – ST. LAWRENCE HOLDS ANNUAL MEETING AND HONORS ACHIEVEMENTS

The Arc Jefferson - St. Lawrence (www.thearcjslc.org), recently held their Annual Meeting to elect officers and set terms for the Board of Directors, as well as honor employees, volunteers, and individuals supported by the agency. The 2026 elected officers for The Arc Jefferson – St. Lawrence Board of Directors are as follows: Laura Carbone, President; Wendy LaFave, Vice President; and Shawn Signor, Secretary/Treasurer.

ROBERT PALMER HONORED AS OUTSTANDING PERFORMER

In honor of October’s National Disability Employment Awareness Month, The Arc Jefferson - St. Lawrence (www.thearcjslc.org), announced that Robert Palmer II was awarded the distinction of “William B. Joslin Outstanding Performer,” from the New York State Industries for the Disabled, Inc. (NYSID.)
